These terms are an agreement between you and RoamSaldo (“RoamSaldo”, “we”, “us”) covering your use of the RoamSaldo mobile apps and website. By creating an account or using RoamSaldo you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
1. What RoamSaldo is — and is not
RoamSaldo is a personal travel budgeting and expense-tracking tool. It is not a bank, lender, money transmitter, payment service, financial adviser, accounting service, or tax tool. Nothing in the app is financial, legal, or tax advice. You are responsible for your own financial decisions.
2. Rates, balances, and accuracy
Exchange rates come from third-party providers and may be delayed, approximate, or unavailable; RoamSaldo falls back to cached or estimated rates when offline. Transaction descriptions, categories, balances, and budgets may be incomplete or inaccurate, and imported purchases can take time to appear or to settle at a final amount. Categories are assigned automatically and can be wrong — you can correct any of them. Always confirm important amounts with your bank or card issuer.
3. Your account
- You must provide accurate information and keep your password confidential.
- You are responsible for activity that happens through your account.
- You must be at least 16 years old (or the age of digital consent where you live) to create an account.
- Do not store highly sensitive information in expense notes — for example passwords, full card numbers, government identifiers, or someone else's personal data.
4. Acceptable use
Use RoamSaldo only for its intended purpose and only with accounts you are authorized to connect. Do not attempt to interfere with the service, probe or attack it, scrape it, resell access to it, reverse engineer it, or use it to break any law or someone else's rights.
5. Card connections
Card linking is optional and powered by Plaid. When you link an account you authorize RoamSaldo and Plaid to access the account information and transactions described at the time you connect, for as long as the connection is active. You can unlink at any time from Settings, which revokes the connection at the provider. RoamSaldo does not receive your bank login credentials.
6. Fees and in-app purchases
Manual expense logging remains free. Optional card-sync access is sold through the Apple App Store or Google Play: Pro Monthly is $4.99 per month, Pro Annual is $59.99 per year, and a Trip Pass is $2.99 for 30 days. The store displays the localized price and billing period before confirmation and may collect applicable taxes. Apple or Google processes the payment; RoamSaldo does not receive your payment-card number.
Monthly and annual Pro plans automatically renew unless you cancel through the subscription settings for the store account used to purchase them before the next renewal. Canceling stops future renewals; Pro access remains through the paid period. A Trip Pass is a one-time purchase, does not renew, and grants card sync for 30 consecutive days from the latest verified purchase. Refunds and billing disputes are handled under the applicable store's policies.
Deleting your RoamSaldo account or uninstalling the app does not cancel an App Store or Google Play subscription. Cancel the subscription separately in your store account settings to stop future charges.
7. Availability and changes
We may change, suspend, or discontinue features at any time, and we do not promise the service will be uninterrupted or error-free. Where we can, we will give notice of material changes that affect you.
8. Ending your use
You may stop using RoamSaldo and delete your account at any time from Settings → Data & Account → Delete account, or by following our account deletion instructions. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, that abuse service resources, or where we are required to by law.
9. Disclaimer and liability
RoamSaldo is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties (including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement) and we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost savings, or lost data, arising from your use of the app — including any reliance on a rate, balance, category, or budget shown in it. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us for the service in the 12 months before the claim, or USD $50. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
10. Your indemnity
You agree to indemnify RoamSaldo against claims arising from your use of the service in violation of these terms or applicable law.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, United States, excluding its conflict-of-laws rules, and the courts of Pasco County, Florida have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute — except where consumer law in your country of residence gives you the right to bring a claim at home, in which case that law applies.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. When we do, we will change the date above and, for material changes, notify you in the app. Continuing to use RoamSaldo after a change means the updated terms apply.
